Benefit 1: Reduced fuel consumption and a clear head
The vehicle's occupants use up the oxygen in the air and, in doing so, generate carbon dioxide (CO2). On long journeys with the A/C running in the circulating-air mode, the CO2 concentration inside the vehicle starts to increase, causing drowsiness to slowly creep in and, with it, the danger of an accident.
With the Climate Control Sensor, fresh air can be supplied as soon as the CO2 level increases beyond a specific level. The improved supply of fresh air increases driving safety and driving comfort.
At the same time, by mostly using air that has already been climatized, the vehicle A/C’s energy consumption can be reduced. Thus, the Climate Control Sensor contributes to improved fuel economy and to reduced CO2 vehicle emission.
