Active driving safety

Active driving-safety systems help to stabilize the vehicle in borderline situations. To do this, they have to permanently monitor whether the vehicle's behaviour corresponds to the driver's wishes. Sensors provide the necessary data, for example:

• Wheel speeds

• Steering angle

• Linear and lateral acceleration

• Yaw rate

Clear visibility, no matter what the wheather, is another contribution towards active driving safety. The rain sensor detects water on the windscreen. Using its signal the windscreen wipers can be activated automatically.
