Conventional windshield cleaning systems are designed for a specific travel speed: as the speed increases, so does the airstream. The washer fluid spray is deflected, meaning that less fluid reaches the wiper field and cleaning performance is reduced as a result. This not only affects driver visibility but can also impair any camera- and sensor-based driver assistance systems located behind the windshield, potentially rendering them inactive.

The innovative Jet Wiper Blade Aero directs the washer fluid exactly where it is needed and at the exact volume required. Consumption is thus reduced by up to 50 percent. Moreover, the correct function of optical systems such as cameras or LiDAR positioned in the wiper field is ensured, thereby meeting the requirements for autonomous driving of the future.

How the Jet Wiper Blade Aero works

The Jet Wiper Blade Aero is supplied with washer fluid via a pump connected to the tank. The washer fluid is fed through integrated tubes to the outlets in the wiper blade and subsequently sprayed in front of the wiper blade in a targeted manner, without impairing the driver’s view. Thanks to the optimum distribution of the outlets across the entire length of the wiper blade, washer fluid is available immediately to rapidly provide a clear view and thereby enhance driving safety. The outlets are created in the wiper blade using a high-precision laser, thus guaranteeing an optimum spray pattern.

The Jet Wiper Blade Aero features the innovative Aero Clip arm/blade connection in combination with a hydraulic connector. This enables quick and intuitive wiper blade replacement.
